Storing Leftover Air Fryer Peaches

Refrigerate: You will want to refrigerate any peaches in an airtight container. Then store for 2-3 days. Eat the leftovers cold or warm them up in the microwave or oven.

Freeze: now you can freeze the peaches, but know they will be softer once you thaw them out from being frozen. You can freeze the peaches for 1-2 months. Then reheat from frozen or thaw in the fridge overnight.

Tips For Success

  • We highly recommend reaching for ripe peaches for the best flavor and texture. Underripe peaches will lack in flavor and texture.
  • Aim to slice the peaches in half so they are both similar in size. This is going to help ensure the peaches air fry up evenly.
  • Spread the topping evenly over the top of the peaches so you get an even coating.
  • These air-fried peaches are best served warm and fresh from the air fryer.
  • Place skin side down on the air fryer basket, so the open flesh part of the peach halves is facing upward. You can line it with parchment paper to prevent the spillage of the bubble over.

Practical notes

Can we use canned peaches instead of fresh peaches?

You are more than welcome to use canned peaches to make these air fried peaches. Just drain off the juice as much as you can. Then reduce the cooking time as your peaches are already cooked. You are essentially just heating them up.

How do we prevent our air fryer peaches from getting too mushy?

Keep an eye on the peaches as they are cooking. Depending on the size of the peaches will depend on the cooking time. You want to remove them when the top caramelizes a bit and they are soft when you stick a fork in them.

What other fruits can we air fry besides peaches?

Plums, pears, pineapple, and even apples would all be great options for using in replace of peaches in this recipe.
