  7. Let the donuts fully cool before frosting.

How to Make Frosting

  1. In a stand mixer beat your softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and heavy cream on medium speed.
  2. You want to form stiff peaks. Once it does add in the sky blue food coloring and mix to incorporate.
  3. Pour the frosting in a piping bag with a large star tip.

Decorate Donuts

  1. Take your cooled donuts and place on a parchment lined tray. One at a time you will begin to pipe on the blue frosting. It is okay if it is a little messy as it mimics his hair.
  2. Place two eyes in the center above the donut hole center.
  3. Then at the bottom place half of a cookie in the mouth of the donut. To look like he is eating a cookie. If you want you can do a whole cookie depending on the size.

Kitchen notes

Donuts

– You can make any of your favorite donut flavors. We did just a classic vanilla donut. Frosting – If you don’t want to use frosting you can make a blue donut glaze to dip the donuts in. It won’t hold the cookie the way you want, as the frosting is nice and stiff. Store – Store donuts in a covered dish for 1-2 days. These are best eaten fresh.
