Expert Tips
Texture | Here is the thing about these bombs. You have to make the liquid you slowly add in create a sand-like texture. We like to say it reminds us of a graham cracker crust, but not quite as wet.
If you make it too wet, it will not fizz when you drop it in the beer. The citric acid needs to stay a bit dry, or it will be a dud.
Seasonings | Feel free to use all kinds of spices and seasonings that you would normally add into a beer to dress it up. This chili beer is versatile.
A bomb shot that has a splash of juiced lime, Worcestershire sauce, salt mixture, chili pepper, etc.

Practical notes
Is this beer bomb like a red beer?Red beer is a mix of either clamato juice and beer or tomato juice and beer. This bomb is made with chili powder, paprika, etc. So if you want a red beer flavor with a kick, add some tomato juice in once the bomb has fizzed up.
How to store the bomb shots? These bomb shots for your beer need to be stored in the freezer. As soon as you pull them from the freezer toss it right in the cold beer. If you let it sit out at room temperature, it will not fizz. And they can fall apart.
Is beer good with spicy food?Beer is one drink that you see served at most restaurants. You will find if you order spicy food along with a beer, it might elevate the flavor of your dish. Beer can act as an irritant and in return elevate the heat factor of spicy food.

- [Hot Sauce, around 1 teaspoon]
- Lime, optional

Method
- In a bowl, you will add in your paprika, chili powder, lime sea salt, and citric acid. GIve it a stir to incorporate.
- Then you will take your Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce and add a splash or two, then stir. You want the mixture to be slightly wet but dry. You will pick up the mixture, and squeeze pinching fingers. it will begin to clump together, but look somewhat dry in the bowl. In the video, we show you the exact texture. If overly wet it will not fizz when dropped in beer.
- Take 1 1/2 tablespoons to 2 tablespoons of the mixture and place in a silicone mold. Press down tightly. This is important or they will not hold shape.
- Cover the beer fizzy bombs and freeze for 4-6 hours.
- Line your cup with salt if you want, and pour your beer in. Then drop in the frozen beer bomb, and let it fizz. Add a splash of lime juice and sip!
Kitchen notes
You need to ensure your mixture is not too wet. Crumbly but when you press together the spices form and hold shape. Use the beer bombs right from pulling from the freezer. They can’t sit out at room temperature or they will fall apart and not fizz up. Double or triple the recipe to fit how many you want to make. This recipe makes 4-6 depending on how big of beer bombs you make. Change up the ingredients if you want to add more spice add in some cayenne powder, etc.
