Make the Dough | Combine the milk, oil, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Add the egg and whisk until combined. Sprinkle in salt and seasonings. Fold in the flour using a spatula and mix until elastic.

Let it Raise | Using a cloth, cover the garlic bread, and allow it to rise for 30 minutes. Turn on the oven and add parchment paper to a baking sheet. Add a sprinkle of flour.

Bake the Bread | Put the dough onto the baking sheet and flatten it into a circle. (it doesn’t need to be) Add small pieces of butter and add salt and pepper on top. Bake for 25 minutes and add chopped parsley on top.

Expert Tips

  • There is no need to fuss over the shape of the circle. You will be cutting it before serving anyway, and it looks better when it’s sort of rough.
  • Don’t add all the flour at once. Just add a little bit at a time, then mix.
  • If you don’t let the bread rise before baking it, it’s not going to turn out right. It’s going to be too dense and not like it should be.
  • Don’t overbake the garlic bread loaf, or it will be dried out and won’t taste good.

Practical notes

How do you reheat garlic bread without it getting hard?

The easiest way to warm up the bread is to cover it with a piece of tin foil. Then bake it in the oven for 10 minutes or so until it’s hot. This will keep it fresh tasting and a good texture. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eAdditionally, you can microwave it a piece or two at a time. Warm it for 15 seconds or so. Don’t heat it too long, or it’s going to dry out fast.

How long does garlic bread last?

Let the bread cool down all the way after baking. Then place it in an airtight container. It will last 304 days at room temperature. Don’t put it in the fridge, or it’s going to dry out faster.

Can we freeze cooked garlic bread?

Wrap the garlic bread in aluminum foil and put it inside of a freezer bag. It will last in the freezer for 2-3 months. Thaw before reheating and enjoy!
