Chicken breast smothered in honey mustard, crunchy bacon, and mushrooms!

This easy smothered chicken breast was inspired by a restaurant we used to visit called Montana Mike’s. They had what was called the Mountain Topper Chicken, and it was our FAVORITE!

Our version is made on the Blackstone because it’s our preferred method for cooking many of our dishes. If you love Blackstone as much as we do, be sure to try out our

Kitchen notes

  • Uniform Sized Chicken – It’s helpful to cut the chicken so it’s sized the same. This way you don’t have to worry about some pieces cooking faster than others.
  • Swap the mustard – If you don’t like honey mustard, feel free to use Dijon instead. Both are delicious!
  • Shred the cheese – we know you may want to save yourself a step, but it’s so much better when you shred the cheese yourself. YUM!
