whiskey drink ingredients

Ingredients Needed

  • Whiskey – we used Jameson whiskey as it is an Irish whiskey and is good for the traditional Baileys flavor.
  • Half and Half – Silky, creamy, and a nice flavor to balance the whiskey and condensed milk.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk – Thick, ultra creamy, and will give a sweet flavor to the recipe.
  • Cold Brew – Cold brew espresso or espresso itself will work for this. Depending on how strong of coffee you want.
  • Chocolate – Chocolate syrup is what we used, we bought Hershey’s chocolate sauce for making chocolate milk.
  • Vanilla – Just a little vanilla will add a nice sweetness to the Baileys Irish cream mixture.

How to Make

Step 1: Add all the ingredients into a pitcher, and stir or shake. You want to fully mix the ingredients.

Step 2: Pour over ice and serve, or store in the fridge until ready to drink.

Storage

You can store your Baileys drink in the fridge for up to 10 days after it is made. Just make sure to place in an airtight container, and then stir well before pouring into a glass.

This Baileys recipe does not freeze due to the dairy used, it would curdle and separate.

Kitchen notes

Whiskey –

We recommend using an Irish whiskey that way it gets the same flavor of a traditional Irish cream. Half and Half – Make sure to use half and half and not milk. The thickness helps to give this drink richness and a creamy texture. Coffee – You can use a cold brew coffee or espresso. It is up to you on which flavor you prefer when making your Irish cream liqueur. Chocolate Sauce – We used a Hershey’s chocolate sauce like you would use to make chocolate milk. Any brand works. Storage – You will be able to store your Baileys in the fridge for up to 10 days once made. Stir well then enjoy.
